Just another reason to go to San Francisco
Yesterday morning while I was perusing the latest issue of Elle Decor, I came across a wine rack that I was instantly drawn too. I had never seen anything quite like it. It's a piece that could fit into almost any interior with the modern frame, rustic caramel leather and its impeccable design (pictured below). I decided to look up the supplier based out of San Francisco called March, to see if they had any other interesting pieces. As soon as I saw what they had to offer I wondered I have been living under a rock and had missed the memo on this incredible design and food resource. Two of my favourite things all in one well-designed place, how had I not heard about this sooner!? One of my favourite things I discovered while scouring through their site was strangely a painting of steak by Carrie Mae Smith (see below). I'm actually not a huge meat eater, but sometimes art just speaks to you and this piece did! I think what I loved most about March was that they really have a gourmet or luxury good to take any chef through the whole process of cooking and serving in style. You could begin to make your meal by starting with some of their olive oil, spices and salts and even house made jams. The next step would be prep on one of thier beautiful worktables and you could even cook with one the funky AGA stoves they supply. They guide you the rest of the dining/entertaining experience with their range of luxurious and well detailed utensils, serving items and decor accessories. While there's a pretty hefty price tag on the majority of their items, I think some of these pieces are definitely worth the investment if you have a passion for food and design. Enjoy!
