We'll always have paris
I don't know how, but Parisians always manage to do it better. The food, the fashion, the interiors, they always just seem to get it when it comes to design and living well. One of my favourite things about Paris (besides the amazing bakeries on every block) is the unparalleled ability to mix traditional, modern and contemporary design. Think of The Louvre, one of Paris's most historic landmarks. Built in the 12th century, the most unexpected addition took place in 1989: the glass and metal pyramid entrance. Seamlessly integrating modern and traditional design is hands down my favourite aspect of Parisian design. Looking at these types residential interiors never ceases to inspire me. It's easy to get stuck in the mindset that you need to commit to one style: modern, traditional, rustic etc….but I think some of the most brilliant spaces come from creating a unique mixture of styles. See some of these Parisian designs and tell me what you think.
